Northfleet & District PROBUS Club
KENT’S LONGEST ESTABLISHED PROBUS CLUB
PROBUS is a non-political, non-sectarian and non–racial organisation. Club members are retired or semi-retired from diverse walks of life. Clubs are run independently by the members on a non-profit making basis and aim to provide their members with opportunities to meet regularly and socially for exchange of views and enjoyment of common interests. Selected speakers are arranged to provide a wide spectrum of interests for the Members.
There are four luncheons a year arranged for members to bring their wives/partners, and one morning per year is designated a “Ladies Day” for the wives/partners to hear a special speaker. The male only PROBUS CLUB meets alternate Tuesdays at Shorne Village Hall, at 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon.
The members pay £12 Annual Contribution and £3 at each meeting which includes coffee and biscuits and a free raffle for a bottle of wine before the main event. The Social Secretary plans coach trips to many and varied interesting places throughout the year and these are very popular. The Northfleet & District PROBUS Club is actively recruiting new members, if you would like a friendly interesting morning once a fortnight please contact the Club Secretary (see across). You will be made very welcome and be able to catch up with old friends.
